The Laboratory of Mathematics of Atlantic Brittany (LMBA)  brings together the majority of mathematicians  in the Western Brittany.  It occupies premises located in the buildings of the UFR Sciences and Techniques of the University of Brest (UBO) and  the UFR Sciences et Sciences  Engineering of the University of Vannes (UBS).

The research subjects cover large part of mathematical fields and are organized in 3 teams:

• Geometry and topology (coordinator: Gerd Dethloff (UBO)
• Dynamic Systems , probabilities and statistics (coordinator: Ismaël Bailleul (UBO))
• Analysis, stochastics phenomena and applications (coordinator: Miloud Sadkane (UBO))

The Direction of the laboratory is ensured by:
